Cask @ Gunmaker's Arms, Birmingham. Misty gold appearance, patchy white head. Fruity sweet aroma, continuing to taste alongside some floral, herbal grapefruit citrus.. but does come across like it's been in the lines a while unfortunately. Shame.

Cask at Gunmakers Arms, Birmingham. Aroma has citrus and grainy malts. Opaque gold. Blotchy frothy foamy white head. Medium bitter with a sour citrus streak. Grainy. Woody. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Punchy Gold.

500ml bottle direct from the brewery. Gold, decent white head, average retention. No massive aromas but there is a mild citrus and floral/herb note. Taste is a little more pronounced with biscuit malts and quite floral and peachy hops balanced by a decent level of bitterness. Not a bad body for a 4.3%. Traditional golden ale and certainly not an IPA in the modern context. Personally would like more finishing hops to add more flavour. Not bad, would be interesting to try this on cask one day.

Third, cask ale shared with Finn at the brewpub. Misty golden body, naked at the surface, dotted spots on the glass. Fruity smell of peaches and citrus. Blended taste profile of peaches, lemon, and biscuit. Mid-sweet fruity ending. Accepted. (Birmingham 03.02.2020).

Hand-pulled pint in the brewery after a tour around on 8th Feb 2014: one of three beers available in cask form on the day. Golden to light amber body, clear and clean looking, on top a white covering of bubbles. Hop lead in the nose, mild citrus front with floral finish. The taste is also on the hoppy side, malty undertone, but the hops rule the flavours as in the aroma. Medium bodied and obviously fresh, a very easy drinking beer with enough about it to please me.
