On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Pours hazy orange amber with off-white head. Malty, caramel, fruity, hoppy. Sweetish. Medium bodied. Bitter dry finish. Not really a hop bomb one would expect from beers like this.

Can at the Struise shop in Bruges. Lacing, moussy, creamy, egg-white head over a hazy amberish orange blonde beer. Fragrant New World hop aroma of pink grapefruit, tangerine, biscuit, toasted onion (probably the Simcoe), mango, orange, lychee, ’natural’ iron and a touch of pine. Fruity onset of dried mango, mandarin and sweet yellow passion fruit, medium carbo, smooth biscuity and lightly bitterish toasted malt sweet middle upon which the whole structure of the nineteen hops is built, long and dryingly bitter but never harsh, much more directed towards aroma, with a lush array of citrusy, tropically fruity, floral and lightly piney aromas. Honestly, I don’t see the point of cramming so many different hops in one beer (I guess this would be like making wine of nineteen different grape varieties), some of them will dominate and others will be hardly noticeable (I get very little of the normally very recognizable Sorachi Ace, for instance), but I can accept this as an ode to the new generation of fragrant hop varieties and this is by all means a very pleasant and well-crafted IPA.

Jan. ’16. On tap at the Craft Room, Zagreb. It poured hazy amber-copper body with medium sized head. Hoppy aroma, floral, citrus, elderflower with plain sugary malty base. Pleasant but surprisingly weak. Bitter flavor for sure, with some interesting notes of pepper, pine, grass and different spices besides herbal and fruity domination. Quite complex, as emphasized with balancing malt which was lightly toasted - caramel and biscuit. Thin to medium body with long bitterish finish, with interesting hop notes popping out, but the sweet tropical fruit was dominating here. A bit empty, expected more, but not bad at all. It was very interesting brew and I assume it takes even more time for searching subtle notes of hops represented by a tiny amount. If a person is into it, just for fun and challenge. Otherwise, for a plain pleasure of enjoying in a fine beer, 19 hops doesn’t mean too much really.

Can at home from brewdog online. A hazed deep orange amber coloured pour with a big lively rocky off white head. Aroma holds lots of soft aqishy tropical fruit, orange rind, apricot with hints of pine. Pale bready malts on the nose as well. Good hop medley. Flavour is composed of pale bready, wheat malts, toasted pine needles, citrus rind, spicy citrus. Bit muddled hop character. Palate is highish carbonation, medium bodied, little hop resin. Good.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy orange with a big fluffy head. Nose - pine and grapefruit. Quite yeasty. Taste - wood, pine and citrus pith. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that is long and dry but very yeasty. Overall - generally too yeasty.

Can from Brewdog Online Shop. Pours hazy golden orange with a thick off-white head. Aromas are yeasty, wood, pine, light citrus. Taste is yeasty, orange, wood. Kinda dirty. Expected better.

Can from Brewcraft at home. This is the 12th Mikkeller hop series we've had! Muddy orange copper pour with big sticky head. Aroma is interesting - lots going on. Citrus zest, grape must, booze, spiciness. Taste is bitter - again, grape must, citrus peel, pine resin. Busy but good. A little bit of plastic. Lasting bitterness with some boozy warmth. Much better than I remember the 20 hop one.

An orange and hazy beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has great tropical notes, mangos, grapefruits, some pineapple and also some unspecified exotic fruits, balanced. Taste is fruitful and tropical, strong pine, hint of herbs, strong bitterness and also strongly bitter end. Medium bodied. Nicely strong bitterness, tasteful.
