Inspired by West Coast IPAs, but brewed with Michigan style. The Crooked Tree is heavily dry hopped to give it a big aroma of pine and citrus. The flavors are big, yet very balanced between fresh hops and malt. Often described as "grapefruit" our hops give this beer an excellent fruit flavor that finishes dry.

Draft from waterfront kips bay. Nice citrus floral aroma. Lighter pour. Hoppy finish. A fine IPA

Aroma of malts, tropical fruit, pine, caramel. Flavour is thick malty caramel sweetness with some bitterness in the finish. Not as hoppy as you’d expect, more of a sweet malt profile. Could almost pass for an Imperial/Double IPA.

12 ounce can. Hazy, amber orange color. Large, frothy beige head. Subtle bready malt nose hints at sweet citrus and stone fruit. Flavor is bittersweet citrus, toasted malt and resiny pine. Not quite West Coast, not quite East Coast. Somewhere in the middle. Herbal and citrus hops move to a hint of pine on the backend. Decent.

Keg at Craft. Orange coloured with small white head. Aroma is lemon, wheat, yeasty. Taste is citrus hops, some lemon, orange, bit of funkiness, sour, wheat and a weird grain. Quite strange, quite nice.

330ml bottle at the Farmers Bar, Puchong, Malaysia. Poured a murky light amber colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a malt, citrus fruit, light dry pepper spicy, light floral, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Rather nice, but very bitter and more fruit would have been an improvement.

At a tasting, small bubbly creamy head, aroma of lemon, herbs and grass, flavor of lemon, citrus and grass with a medium herbal bitterness and a light bready maltiness behind, prickly carbonation. Nice and enjoyable.

12oz bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice hop pine citrus and a cereal grain malt. Taste is more of the nice cereal malts citrus pine and a little tropical kick.
