Tasting at Matt's; synthetic cork
Dark brown color. A bit earthy, some caramel, a bit oily, lightly sweet, not much depth, not enough Baltic Porter character.

Charred oak and raisin nose, subtle cocoa and walnut underneath. Black, thin tan head. Raisin, cocoa, charred oak, molasses. Toffee and plum hints. Medium body, easy carbonation.

Bottle - Dark roast and cocoa. Dark clearish brown with a beige head. Sweet dark coco and a lonfpg sticky finish. Cocoa dominates.

12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted caramel, bready malt, and a hint of brown sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and yeast. Not overly complex, but it works well. Solid.

Light brown, with a bit of chocolate, with a mellow fudgey note. Light body, Simplistic character, and with only a little bit of cocoa powder.

Sampled on draft this beer poured an orange-brown color with a large foamy orange-tan head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy with caramel, alcohol and fruit. The flavor was sweet and tangy with toasted caramel, dark fruits and alcohol. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

Bottle at Uptown. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head. A nice nose of roast and chocolate. Sweet, licorice, lots of chocolates, some anise, honey and earthy in the finish. Very smooth. I like it.

12 oz bottle. Pours a bark brown with moderate head. Aromas of dry roasted malts, nuts, and a bit of sugar. Flavors of same lifted by sweet creamy honey. Nice.

Bottle. Honey, molasses, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with moderate tan head. Very sweet molasses, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body and balance. Pleasant.
