A best-of-breed English Style Summer Ale, this tail-wagger’s already fetched a real name for itself in competition. Our premium barley rolls over with domestic and imported Golding hops for a delicate bitterness and a cold, wet nose.

Pours clear, medium gold with a short, white head. Barley malt, lemon, grain aroma. Grassy, crisp, grain flavor. Fairly mediocre.

Bottle: Clear golden color with a bit of creamy white head. Good retention and ots of sticy lacing. Nose is mild with bicuit malt and grass. Lightly herbal. Tastes sweeter than the aroma would suggest and adds a crisper floral element. Nice amount of malty sweetness and it holds onto the florals without being overly sharp. Refreshing.

12 Fl Oz bottle, drank 6th May 2010 inside my cabin outside Bryce Canyon after a day of hiking. This beer was poured into my plastic toothbrush holder (that’s all I had) and it looked fine, a lovely golden colour, clear and bright. The aroma was weak, some hop smells, but not much of anything. I thought the body and flavours were thin, I know the beer is only 4%ABV, but I was expecting more taste than what was in the bottle. A little disppointing if I’m honest.

On cask at the brewpub
Appearance: Slightly hazy golden with a nice frothy white head and good lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Citrus, sweet lemon peel and spices
Taste: Lemon, citrus and spices
I’m surprised I haven’t rated this beer, but glad I waited until I had this on cask. I don’t remember the bottled or draught versions being anything like this. I’ll have to buy a bottle and compare, it’s been awhile since I’ve had this beer. This is a great beer (on cask).

Courtesy of Degarth. Pours clear watery gold with bright white head. The aroma has floral and spice noble hops along with faint caramel malts. The taste has a quick hit of spice hop bitterness that flows into mild floral hops before the whole experience is de-railed by thin watery insipidness. Midway and to the finish mild hop notes surface. It has a nice sessionable sense and the flavor has really been growing on me.

Draft at the Brewpub, 10/5/07; nose of caramel malt; cloudy amber with a small white head; flavor of caramel with a tiny bitter hop note. Drinkable golden; not my favorite style.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pilsener golden with a creamy, white and dissipating head. Very neutral aroma with only a hint of malts. Incredibly thin and watery with some vague, fruity notes. Dry finish. Really bland. 270106
