Purchased at Metro Plus in St-Jerome, QC. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a huge frothy beige cap that fluffs away slowly and leaves dirty lacing. Aromas of apples, caramel malts and rusty water. The taste is mostly caramel with very watery roasted malts. Hints of nuts. Pretty watery overall. Seems like a under 3% ABV. brew. An average session, lacking a little body. Seems like someone first try at an ESB at home. Drinkable, but bland.

Pours a beautiful amber-brown colour with a nice pillow of bright beige head. Aroma of grass and malt. Flavour is malt and bread, which wouldn’t be so bad, except it’s backed up by such a weak and watery body that it all just kinda falls apart. Corsair just hasn’t got the whole package down.

Canette 473ml.

Can: Poured a ruby colored ale with a large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of vegetable with a weird grassy chemicals finish – not very interesting. Taste is also a weird mix between some buttered vegetables with some metallic-like finish. Body is OK with good carbonation. Not sure if this was intended or not but really not to my liking overall.

A dark reddish amber ale with a thin light moka head. In aroma of coffee, caramel, and butterscotch. In mouth, lighter than the bitter, a bit sweeter, with very biscuitty malt, some buttery notes. Lighter bodied than expected, but nice. Creme caramel in final. Tasted at brewpub, August 2 2008.
