APA hopped with hop varieties from all the important hop regions around the world, hence the name. Can shared by Goedele at Kantien in Ghent. Thick, dense and moussy, egg-white, stable head over a hazy orangey amberish-tinged blonde beer. Bright, flawless and generously New World hops aroma of tangerine, freshly squeezed orange juice, granadilla, butterscotch, ripe mango, pine resin, cashew nuts, lychee. Fresh mandarin, ripe mango and ripe pineapple in the onset, sweetish but in a clean, non-sticky way, sourish accent reinforced by strong, sharp and minerally carbonation; otherwise smooth, bit oily mouthfeel, feeling fuller than 4.5% ABV. Slick peanutty and softly toasty maltiness leads to a fragrant, spicy, bit 'green' hop bitter finish, drying and rooty in the end (more so than is usually the case in a present-day APA) but generously releasing a wave of pink grapefruit, mango, tangerine and pine resin aspects retronasally. Quite an expressive one for the style, sweetish nutty malts beautifully matched against confident, modern, aromatic New World hopping - this brewery still does it the way it should be done.
