Bottle from KBL. Funky acid nose, hibiscus, passion fruit, some vinegar, and a bit of veggie that got stronger as it opened up. Dark gold, cloudy, with lace and lots of carbonation. Huge passion fruit flavor at first, raspberry, rhubarb. Nicely tart. Light and a bit thin, spicy, interesting and fun, though the flavor seem to turn quite vegetal as it warmed, which really turned me off.

33cl bottle. Pours a bright pinkish orange with a thin white head that disappears quite quickly. Smells of hibiscus, gooseberries, peppers, citrus. The taste is bitter and sour, with notes of pickles, dark fruit, wine, grapes, lemonade. Light bodied and refreshing.

Bottle. Pours clear orange, small beige head, dissipates rather quick with good lacing. Aroma is hibiscus, passionfruit, hay, some oak tannins, white wine, a hint of dusty brett. Flavor is light sweet, light tart, very light bitter, floral notes and passionfruit, light Brett funk, oak tannins, some pepper bite on the finish, field grass, oranges. Medium light body. Quite complex and interesting.

Pink peppercorn, lemon, tart, acid and soft malts. Grapefruit and good bitterness.

4 oz pour on draft at Rustico Alexandria. Hazy orange with off-white head. Aromas of funk, red wine, oak, stone fruit. Tastes of stone fruit, light tartness, grapes, wine, funk. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours golden with small bubbly head. Aroma is pickles, herbs, funk, and spice. Taste is on the lighter side of sourness. More funky. Nice herbal and pickle things going on in there. Interesting and complex. Nice aftertaste and leaves you thinking.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy deep orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. The pour looked a bit syrupy, oddly. Aromas of lightly tart lemon, pineapple, passion fruit, berry, pear, red wine, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, floral, oak, light funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spice/fruit, wine barrel, and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart lemon, pineapple, passion fruit, berry, pear, red wine, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, floral, oak, light funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/yeast spiciness and light fruity/acidic tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pineapple, passion fruit, berry, pear, red wine, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, floral, oak, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spice/fruit, wine barrel, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice fruit/spiced wild ale style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spice/fruit, wine barrel, and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle from one of 2 places, can’t remember where! Pours a light hazy orange with a wispy white head. Pepper, tangerine, soap aroma, the passion fruit really comes through. Good sweet/sour fruit balance. Can really taste the passion fruit in there. Quite a tart edge. Very nice.

2 oz. sample at Liquor Express. Hazy orange, with no head. The nose is very floral, lemon zest, light pepper, nectarines, lactose, and a bit of white wine. Sweet up front, with a sharp, tart bite and a subtle, balanced, dry and bitter finish. Light to medium body, crisp, a little acidic, and a bit creamy. This is a wonderful sour, with great complexity and a lovely flavor.
