At Grendelpoort, Valkenburg, Two days old. Light Yellow beer, small head. Aroma is citrus, lemon, fruit. Taste is the same, dry with a hint of lemon tartness, and a dry aftertaste. very nice.

3.5 month old found keg, at the source, well advertised as such. Crystal clear golden color. Still lightly bitter pine. OK.

Draught @ Anna's bar. Clear yellow golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hops, lightly bitter. Not that clearly a DIPA imo. Decent enough though.

Caña en Cimmeria 05..05..2018. (R25). Pastosa, fina. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda.

Double IPA bij Uiltje, from tap at Stokerij in Ghent. Very thick, densely creamy, snow white, stable, tightly lacing head crowning a hazy ochre-tinged peach blonde beer. Lusciously sweet and tropical aroma of freshly squeezed orange juice, a lot of lychee, ripe mango, papaja, sweetbread, meringue, honey, sweet mint leaves, rosewater, gin, dough. Tropical fruitiness in the onset as well, lots of lychee and mango, some pineapple and granadilla, sweet with a soft sourish lime-like edge, sharp and somewhat numbing carbonation, thick and rounded, bit oily mouthfeel. Pleasantly soft and doughy white bread-like malt body, upon which a very generously aromatic hoppiness builds, with the lychee, mango, orange and papaja notes returning retronasally at full force – yet actual hop bitterness remains soft and gentle for this style, so the tropical fruit sweetness gets all the credit here, highlighted by a pleasantly warming gin-like booziness. Uiltje is among the best craft breweries in the Netherlands and if they want to make a top notch DIPA in which tropical aromas have to shine rather than being excessively hop bitter (in other words: New England style), they can do it – this is the proof. Went back the next day for another one…

Draught @ Arendsnest. Clear yellow golden color. Big, somewhat frothy white head. Aroma's: nice refreshing, citrussy hops, pineapple. Retronasal it's piney, citrus, light sweet. Flavor is moderate sweet, fruity hops, herbal light bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes with some bubblegum, light dry, light bitter. A bit weird (bubblegum), but quite nice. Perhaps it was kegged >5 days ago....

Draught Fine rings of white lace over clear yellow-orange beer. Honey, a hit of flowers (leucanthemum) with a strange smell, as the water from a flowerpot. Extreme, specific hopflavour, floral, ureum. This is overuse of a certain hop(combination), no doubt.. Again leucanthemum asters. Not much ado in the palate. Faint fruit as apricot or peach. Feels better carbonated than it looks. Strange, weird aroma, conveyed IMHO opinion b a certain hop(combination). 6/4/6/3/14
