When it comes to brewing, we take things slow. Our full-bodied Amber is slow-aged with Northern White Oak, bringing out the rich flavours of cluster and Hallertau hops, roasted rye malt and a special distiller's malt. Slightly woody and surprisingly drinkable, our Amber proves that crafting strong beer is an art form worth the effort – and the wait.

Looks great! Nice big white head. Soft, doughy, bready aroma. Nice solid malting with some light earthiness. Flavor is sweet, and malty, but finishes with an odd macro veggie aftertaste. Medium bitterness, but the finish really showed i think this is a pig with lipstick.

473ml can. Pours a clear orange-amber with a small, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Mild aroma of toasted grainy malt and caramel. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, toffee, orange, honey and overripe apple in a dry finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A little too sweet. A malt forward Amber, almost like a malt liquor. Could use more hops to balance things out.

Can: Poured a clear light brown color ale with medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of unrefined grainy malt notes is not very pleasant. Taste is also dominated by unrefined granny notes with light dry hops notes barely noticeable. Body is light with OK carbonation. Quite bad with low drinkability level.

This amber poured a light amber colour with a big, off white coloured head. Rocky head. Scents include metal, dough and hay. First swig was very smooth but a little watery with flavours of honey, leaves and cereal. Finish is slightly sweet with honey/malt flavours lingering.

Canette 473ml.

Single 473ml can at the LCBO from Brick’s "Seasonal Collection". Pours a clear golden-amber colour with a decent big tanned cap that has good retention and offers foamy lacing. Grainy aromas of mild roasted and caramel hops, alcohol with very light fruits and hops. Very smooth silky mouthfeel, but not much stick in the end. Soft sweet malt start with the hop kicking a bit after the middle and notes of rusty water appears in the finish. Gets better as you drink more. Interesting coming from Brick’s under their Waterloo name, but still not a top Oktoberfest.

Not bad, not super strong on the taste or anything but not bad. Decent touch of faint caramel.
