3 Fonteinen Hommage is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries and raspberries on young lambic for at least four months, in a proportion of 760 to 800 grams of raspberries and 200 to 240 grams of sour cherries per litre of lambic. This fruit lambic is then blended again with more lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 35% fruit. Hommage is a bodied raspberry lambic beer, with an intense deep red forest fruit bouquet. This unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added.

750ml at Andrey's shared with Phill (thx, for the bottle, man!) and Alex. Assemblage #28 of season 2017/2018. 5.6% ABV. Appearance: murky purple with a bit rose head. Aroma: nice raspberries, a bit sweet, some cherries, somewhat jammy. Taste: quite dry, acidity coming from the fruits, sour cherries. Overall: good one, but as usual I would prefer less acidity and more sweetness and fruit character.

A: a lot of raspberries, sour cherries, sour fruity, funky, bit woody. T: raspberries, cherries, bit woody, 3F funky, sour fruity almost puckering, very fruity not offensive sour, bit higher carbonation, very good, fully enjoyed.

Bottle. Reddish cloudy with decent head. Complex fruity sour nose with a hint of caramel (somehow - how?). Flavor is complex, earthy, not too sour or bitter, the amazing perfect balance of sweet & sour while still being massively fruity. Once of the best I've had of the style!

Cloudy red. Aroma is bandaid raspberry basil and jam. Taste is sour vinegar balsamico and fruity raspberry. A bit scratchy on the tongue. Very fresh and drinkable.

Bottle for Thanksgiving. Pours a clear pomegranate ruby color with a quickly dissipating finger of pink foam. Floral berry aromas with cherry blossom, raspberry coming on strong with subtle raspberry seed, earth, barnyard and musty aromas as it warms. A bit of sweat in there as it warms as well. Dry on the palate with tannic seed, light acidic sour flavors with young cherry and raspberry. A touch of dried honey in there as well. Easy drinking with a tannic, acidic finish coupled with bright berry and cherry flavors. Dry finish with slight aged vinegar notes. Very nice.
