Our great-grandparents planted hops in the Yakima Valley in 1932. The matriarch of our family, Leota Mae, worked sunrise to sunset cultivating the land we still farm today. This beer pays tribute to our family’s legacy and the woman who started it all. Cheers, Leota Mae, here's your IPA.

On tap at Bale Breaker / Yonder, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, some sweaty herbal notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops, sweaty earthiness, and biscuity malt. Rather sweaty hop profile. It's decent.

Sampled from the tap at the Ballard location. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has pine and a earthy grass notes with a bit of bread underlying. Flavor has slightly bitter pine and growing grass with black light grains supporting

frothy white head. Deep golden color. Very interesting nose of onion, cheese, mango and citrus with a touch of crackery malt. Malt forward with cantaloupe cheese and onions and citrus notes. Odd hop profile. Decently made but hops don’t work for me

Can at share. Pale golden, spotty head. Aroma is equal parts malts and hops. Taste amps up the hops a bit, drying a bit, more astringent. More pale ale to my palate.

This is a very nice beer what they're calling a West Coast and I'd say it's more of a blend of West and East Coast style IPAs. Hops are very fresh and have just the right amount of bitterness for The Malt and carbonation for the final experience of great drinking beer.
