We took our time with this one! This ale was soured using Roselaire blend while resting in Avery Creek Merlot barrels for almost twelve months. The unique notes of the fermentation used blend well with the warmth of the oak. We are proud to offer our next beer in our barrel aged series.

Cloudy amber color. Nice aroma of dark fruits, balsamic, prunes. Fairly dry, good acidity level, some juicy character.

Bottle - Soured malts and some nice barrel. Clear copper with a small beige head. Light balsamic and caramel with a touch of vinegar. Not exceptional or complex, but I would say a good try that has no flaws.

650ml bottle at Brian's office. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a weak tan head. Aroma is slightly sour, woody, a bit balsamic. Similar taste. Moderately sour. Quite good.

Amber. Thin head. On the nose, lots of wood and the tartness is a clean flemish note. Tart, clean, slightly vinergary and vinous. Lots of barrel. Moderate body. Decent, clearly has that Flemish character. Good balanced acidity. Not super complex but definitely a decent beer.
