Our first ever recipe in 2001, Highlander's ability to stand the test of time is testament to its quality. Proudly traditional, Highlander is the punchy, bittersweet amber ale that Fyne Ales was built on. A nutty, caramel-malt body with sweet red fruit notes and a gently bitter finish.

Bottle. Amber in colour, not much head. Has a mix of a small orange citrus taste with an obvious grain quality.

Cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Nice bright amber/dark golden with very thin white head, caramel malt nose with great balance of citrus hops, roastiness and toffee caramelised orange. Crisp, dry plenty of malt and very clean taste, with a rich orangeness to the finish. A very well balanced beer.
