A reddish-brown top-fermented bock beer with a rich, caramel-malty flavour and full of tones of toffee, prunes and dried fruits. The roasted malt not only provides a rich fragrance but also a wonderful aftertaste and a subtle bitterness.

Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, raisins, dark fruits, yeast. Flavour is medium sweet, not as sweet as most inferior Dunkler Bocks. Not being a fan of the style, I found this one decent and pleasant.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, red-brown colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Toasty, caramel malty and minimally nutty aroma, a touch of cherry kernels. Taste is sweet-ish and bitter, toasty and caramel malty, hints of caramel, burnt caramel, a minimally fruity touch of cherry and red berries, some bitter hop, a diluted touch of liquorice. Watery texture, slightly metallic-repellent palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Rather light, more Ale than Lager-like - OK.

Fruity aroma and flavor (red berries). Somewhat yeasty flavor with mustard. Medium bodied. Just a hint of fruity sourness and some sweetness. Unremarkable beer that lacks most characteristics of a Dutch bock beer.

A deep dark Bock with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of dark fruits, molasses, plums, nice. In mouth, age is showing, dark fruits, molasses, alcohol warmth, faint oxidation, but body is tired. Bièropholie imports, Bb 12/2008
