This mixed fermentation ale is soured with a house blend of lactobacillus cultures prior to secondary fermentation and a heavy Citra-Mosaic-Cascade dry-hop. The result is juicy, sour, and thirst quenching.

This limited edition version includes a large dose of sweet cherries, adding additional flavours of cherry lollipops and giving it a beautiful deep red colour.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear red pour, tiny pink head. Aroma is loaded with tart cherries and random berries. Juicy mouth feel, very soft carb. Tart finish, more cherries and lactic tartness, bordering on sourness. Not overpower, but very pleasant.

Draught at Darby's Gastown, Vancouver
Cloudy red colour with creamy head. Delicate notes of fruit, including berries, hibiscus; creamy mouthfeel with soft acidity. Hint of woody tannins in the finish.
Very pleasant.

500ml bottle. Pours a deep purple with a slightly roae head. Aroma and taste sauerkraut. Spoiled? What the heck is that at all, Bellwoods? :-(

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Nice deep red. Great aroma, lactic, lemony, cherry, juicy, some fruity hops. Tart flavor, juicy, cherry, lemony, light bitterish note in the finish. Medium-bodied. Great and refreshing.

Quick one...Resiny hops, with tart cherries, with some mild sour in the mix. Vinegar sour, with tart cherries in the first sip with lingering light footy funk, resin hops and sweet cherries lingering. Nice.

500 ml bottle. Pours a full red with moderate pink head. Aromas of strawberries and sweet cherries. Flavors of berry seeds, fruity but somewhat bitter and acidic. Interesting and odd.

Purplish, white head. Has a buttery fruit...not quite hitting. Touch of cherry, has a nice balance, light tartness at the back.

Bottle - Lots of grassy hops. Deep reddish with a decent white head. Soured and hoppy with only a touch of cherry in the finish.

Bottle at Farmhouse Fest, pours a deep dark burgundy with a small off-white head. Aroma is very funky and farty, with light pithy cherries. Flavour is very funky, with lots of tart pity cherries, funky notes, almost some fart. Not a whole lot of cherries - it's more of a funk bomb. Not my favourite of the Jelly King series.
