2018 edition, 750ml bottle found in Kelowna. Modest gold body, minimal carbonation; huge acidic vinegar apple on the nose, cinnamon and clove in spades but tempered by the booze which is too intense. Flavour is nice chewy cinnamon and apple, mellow nutmeg hints, vague clove. Crisp carbonation to begin but there's a lingering cloying vinegar aftertaste that gets real old real quick. Not necessarily a bad mix, would work great in hot toddies.

On tap. Pours a clear copper/amber with no head but constant carbonation. Aromas of apple pie: sweet baked apples and cinnamon. Flavors follow same with a bit of nutmeg and ginger, and slightly hot finish. Nice sipper.

Draft served cold - Spicy baked apple. Cloudy gold. Baked apple pies with a light sweetness. Mulled I am sure tastes just like apple pie.

Dull, sort of cloudy. Not actually a good look, but ok. The nose and especially the palate just bludgeon you with mulling spices. Fak. You know in Scandinavia you get glgg, and you’re supposed to dilute it, but if you don’t you get this mega sweet, sort of tart, intense spice bomb. That’s what this is. Balance? Huh?

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy dull light amber color with no head. It’s moderately sweet, a bit boozy, with light carbonation; mild spice presence, but with too much star anise for my liking ( or anything that tastes similar); also some nutmeg apparently.
Would be OK mulled, for who likes them; but there is very little cider quality here, just an impression of stewed apples.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear pale golden yellow with a tiny head. Nose is very sweet, with candied apples, a touch of spice, and some alcohol. Flavour is very sweet and spicy, with lots of caramel candied apple combined with holiday spices (nutmeg, ginger, etc.). Nicely balanced and drinkable in smaller amounts - wouldn't want a glass of this.
