Fermented warm with traditional Norwegian farmhouse yeast, Kveik, Nørwood is aged in oak barrels and conditioned with Brett C. Hopped exclusively with Enigma and rounded out by Golden Naked Oats, this ale sings brightly with notes of citrus, pineapple, and a hint of Brett funk, while balanced by a pleasing mineral dryness.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color, the hue is almost greenish. The aroma is delicate, maybe too light, very mild fruity esters and funky yeast. The mouthfeel is semi-dry, the body is not too weak; the yeast has strong character, it’s a bit funky, a bit spicy, a bit woody; subtle fruit touch all along, and mild tannins in the finish; hints of Riesling.
Very good, clean, balanced.

750ml bottle from the High Point. Pours a hazy golden. Aroma is funky, earthy and citrusy. Taste is similar with woody and bretts notes. Woody aftertaste. Good stuff.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with full head. Aromas of bretty fruit, soft oak, and a hint of green berries on a light malty base. Flavors of woolly brett, bitter pineapple, mashed fruit, grapes, and toasted malts. Very nice.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white foamy head. Aroma brings out a lovely dry hoppy character upfront, lacto, brett, some stone fruitiness and moderate funk. Flavour is wonderfully complex, with lots of barnyard funk, floral dry hopping, brett and other wild yeast that is wonderfully harmonious. Complex and wonderfully constructed. Excellent.
