Good jet black body and soft dark beige foam. Chewy musty molasses aroma, soya sauce, bleached flour, very soft juniper berry. Taste is chewy molasses, sweet black coffee, soft motor oil steeped in juniper berry. Full and smooth, alcohol invisible. Dangerously easy, excellent, fun.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, chicory, dark sugars, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of oliy roasted malts, dark chocolate powder, dry dark berries, and very black coffee. Rich for a BC stout, with a little alcohol on the finish.

Very ark with a medium brown head. On the nose, this is pretty rich, molasses, touch of alcohol, just a light fruitiness, and a slight fruity accent as well. Promises a lot in the aroma. Rich, moloassesy, with a burnt element. Lots of sugar in the finish. Pretty good, and this will definitely take well to a quality bourbon barrel.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out candied sugar, caramel malt, dark fruits and a touch of smoked malt. Flavour is hearty, with a great roasted malt character upfront, followed by candied sugar, caramel and dark fruit. A touch of smoke in there. Fairly robust and very well put together. Thick and with a good body. Very good.
