Heel licht aroma. Smaak is nog licht sprankelend. Smaak is vlug weg.

Corked bottle from Benzai, thanks! Murky brown color. Oak, marzipan and chewing gum in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with new oak, chewing gum and marzipan. Luckily the oak dominates. Alcoholic. A pleasure to drink on a warm autumn evening, but this is not my favorite of the series.

Bottle, 375ml corked. A still one with an oily pour. Unclear, dark brown body. The aroma is sugary and caramel-ish, with some alcohol, dried fruits and piney hops. It’s full-bodied and more or less flat on the palate, with some warmth and flavors of caramel, dried figs, dark sugar and a vinous touch. Some booze. Lasting finish with caramel, dried fruits and a nice touch of citrus juice and pine cones. Fine bitterness too. Not bad, but sure lacks carbonation. 141231
