Bottle from the lcbo. Jet black pour, small beige head. Aroma is smoky, but subtle, and inviting. Not a slap innthe face withna charred log. Some nice roasted malts, soft cocoa, and coffee. Malts have hints of sweetness, and soy with some ripe fruit. Smoke rounds everything out softly with a subtle bitterness and roasty finish.

Can, medium stable creamy head, opaque black colour, dark chocolate, mellow smokiness and an earthy hint, quite dry with a bit of caramel sweetness. Nice and easy to drink.

A deep dark porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light peated notes, light cereals, pleasant. In mouth, a nice smooth porter with light chocolate and light peated notes, light cereals, pleasant.

Foamy tan head stayed on a dark brown body. Spiced, nutty & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & soft with a lively back. Smoked, malt, berry & pig tastes with a bitter hopped finish. Not for me.,l

500ml bottle. Dark brown almost black colour with a two-finger tan head. Aroma: roast, smokey malt, hint of chocolate. Taste: smokey roast malt, caramel, dark fruits, slight hint of chocolate perhaps. A little sweetness from the fruity, malty flavours with a bitter smokey finish and aftertaste. Medium body, low carbonation. Not a fan of smoked beers generally but this one wasn’t at all overpowering, nicely done.

Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt notes with some very subtle smoked flavours is OK. Taste is a mix of roasted malt notes with subtle smoked flavours and some light coffee notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Not bad but didn’t really stand out either.
