This variation on an imperial oatmeal stout, brewed in collaboration with Mikkeller, contains a healthy dose of authentic Kopi Luwak coffee (a.k.a. “weasel coffee”), along with other Vietnamese coffees, ground chipotle pepper. and a touch of smoked malt.

Bottle at Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2012. Opaque black liquid with small tan head. Aroma of coffee, light smoked chilli, chocolate, raw sugar and some ash. Taste is light to medium sweet with medium bitterness and notes of fresh coffee and chilli. Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Great beer, though not as good as the regular Weasel.

Originally rated on 05.10.2012 - Pours pitch black with a tiny sticky head. Aroma of roasty malts, hints of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, wood and hops. Taste is quite roasty and sweet with notes of warming chili, spices, vanilla and wood. Finish is sweetish and sticky with a lot of vanilla, chili, wood and spices. Okay, quite spicy but tasty imperial stout.

Sampled from bottle @ Borefts 12. Opaque pitch black color, small brown lacing on top, no real head. Smell roasted and burned malts, slightly smoke, lightly liquor. Taste Roasted and burned malts, alcohol, liquor, some chocolate, medium bitterness. Increasing bitterness in the finish, very nice! Medium to full body, lively, a bit fizzy carbonation.

Bottle at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours oily black with a weak, tan head. Great barrel character coming through on the nose, some dark chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, plenty of scorched wood, mocha. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Moderately warming to finish, some dark fruit hints, a bit of raisins, dirt, modest roast, subtle alcohol. Very good stuff. Rich.

From tap at Borefts. Pours pitch black with no lasting head. Aroma is smooth coffee, roasted malty and chocolate. Smooth roasted dense chocolate malty, bitter and light herbal coffee. Roasted dark malty finish.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ Borefts 2012. Black with no head. Smells like mocha, chocolate, cocoa butter, touch vinous, light roast. Taste is sweet mocha, chocolate, medium milk chocolate, lightly creamy, not really getting weasel coffee, cocoa with rather light chili in the back - more stout than impy stout bodied
