Rather than choosing between sour or hoppy, we decided to create a beer that would be both at the same time. Showcasing the aromatic benefits of a generous dry hop, harnessing the prowess of lactic acidity, and coming to a bottle near you without a pesky slumber in oak, Jelly King is the fermented embodiment of immediate gratification.
This limited edition Jelly King variant was conditioned on loads of purple plums!

Bottle from the LCBO. Hazy pinkish red, with a large off white head.. Lovely sweet plum aroma, fruity, soft, and a bit tart. Soft mouth feel, soft carb. Low to medium tart, plum, soft citrus, some light berries.

Bellwoods Jelly King Plum 5.6% It poured a really interesting pinkish purple color with a light pinkish white foam that lingered for a long time. The aroma was a tart funky plum with hints of sulfur. Medium to light gifted and silky smooth with an ascerbic/acidic finish. More of a sour and less of a fruit bomb than other Jelly King’s I’ve had. It’s definitely plum but with high acidity and the sweetness mostly in the finish. Cool though. Can with a purple from the Slop Shop in Tokyo.

Bottle: Poured a dirty reddish color ale with a large light pink color head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of tart notes with fresh plums and fruity notes. Taste is a mix of fresh juicy plum notes with some tart notes and a fruity finish. Body is full with good carbonation. Nice fruity sour with great drinkability.

Vom Fass im Muted Horn Berlin 2021-09 getrunken. Dieses Plfaumen Sour paßt sich mit wunderbarer Qualtiät in die Bellwoods Jelly King Reihe ein. Schöne Pflaumen-Aroma mit deutlichen Fasseinfluß. Die Säure hervorangend balanciert. Tolles Sour!

Keg at CW Family & Friends, Session 2 @Manchester Central, 22/02/20. Hazed pinkish orange with a faded crimson cap. Nose is tangy citric zest, greengages, damp straw, light floral notes. Taste comprises sharp plummy tones, citric zest, damp hay, funky twang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced light acidic rise. Decent refresher.
