Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy golden color. Funky aroma, lactic, lemony, a bit fruity. Sour mouthfeel, funky and lemony, a bit vinous and vinegary, balsamic, hints of raspberries.
Nice.

This is hazy, with a light amber colour. The aroma shows a lot of tartness, a fairly strong vinous character, Some salty notes, light fruitiness. Tart, with a lot of vinous character. There’s a fair bit of clean tartness, Has a fairly nice salty note, fruity, vinous, and ultimately this is a pretty good beer.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out woody notes, some vinous notes, and light salt. Flavour certainly still has some salt left after all this time, followed by red wine and wood, and citrus on the finish. Woody, tart and citrusy on the finish, with substantial acidity. Not especially complex, but it works okay. Meh.

Light golden amber color. Salty and sour nose with lots of cat pee. The mouth is very sour dry with minimum bourbon character. But in the finish there is lingering oak and bourbon is very present. Very good stuff.
