Bottle shared on the train Euston -> Birmingham, Cotteridge convention, 24/01/2015. Picked up at the Brewery with a couple of years age on the bottle. Aroma is big tcp, phenol, smokey bacon. Reddy / caramel colourd pour with a lasting off whte head. Flavour is sweet caramel, honey glazed ham, smokey phenols, less medicinal in the flavour. Palate is semi-sweet, moderate carbonation. Decent for the age, lasted pretty well.

Many thanks to ThirstyBird for this bottle. Fresh smoked beginning. Malty fresh with lots of smoke. Nice, fresh, easy to drink. Nice dry and nice bittered.

Bottle shared on the train to the Cotteridge Convention 2015. Many thanks to Fergus. Pours cloudy amber with a creamy, light tan head. Strong dry smoke in the aroma, some burnt ham, toasted grainy bread. Light-medium sweet flavor with notes of fatty ham, more dry smoke, wood, camp fire, leaves. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Drying finish with light alcohol warmth, further strong and lingering smoke. Solid for the style.

Bottle on the 10.43 Euston to Cotteridge express ... thanks to Fergus for this ’R’ bird, 24/01/15. Hazed orange amber with a well appointed light biege covering. Nose is big on smoked malts, bacon frazzles, woody, peaty, damp chip bark mulch. Taste is less intense smoke wise, toffee, smoked malt, biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a touch of TCP. Solid rausch affair.

Bottle, train on route to the Cotteridge Convention. Thansk to Fergus with this old-timer. It pours clear deep red-brown with a small white head. The nose is big smoke, 1 metre distance from a bonfire sort of aroma, rich, juicy and honey-glazed ham. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy, dough, subdued smoke, meaty, gammon, grainy and toasted brown bread. Medium body and moderate carboantion. Really nice punchy aroma to it. Decent.

Botella de 33 cl en el lúpulo en febrero de 2013. lote a hasta 06-2013. Sabores y aromas maltosos y ahumados. Buena, aunque en la linea suave y ligera de la marca a pesar de sus 7 vol. Buena. Para repetir sin problemas.
