0.355l bottle. Slowly popping up from the bottle to say hello before I pour it in my glass. Instantly there is a big white head with a pink-ish hue. When it calms down a bit it reveals a beautiful really glowing peach-zest red body. It smells really sweet, fruity and sugary. Lots and lots of raspberries and strawberries going on here! Needless to say it smells really nice! It's high - almost aggressive on the carbonation with a thin oily texture. Flavors are really dry and there is no sweetness here what so ever. A thin sourness lurking around here as well. Almost so much that I suspect there might be a little infection going on here (something I have had experience with in the last 3 bottles I've had from Shorts) a pity. Some fruitiness also, but that's more in the background. Red currants perhaps? No alcohol what so ever to be found here. Anyhow, guess it kinda grows on you and at least the aroma was really nice. 14.07.2012

GABF, 2012. This is the one Short’s beer I didn’t like. It has an unpleasant aroma similar to an American style wheat beer and light citrus and wheat in the flavor.

Bottle. Amber body with red highlights. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of fruit (berries), toasted grain and medicine. Some astringency. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter and moderately acidic. Thin to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Tart lemon, cherry, strawberry taste with some biscuit underneath. Reminds me of cough medicine. Funky, off-flavor as well. Not enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a clear red with small off pinkish head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is cherry and rye. Thin mouthfeel with a Strong cherry and raspberry flavor and light tart with sour finish. Easy to drink a very good fruit beer from Shorts.

12oz bottle. Didn’t realize the big ABV on it the first time around. Glowing bright red, thin oily head. Nice mellow fruity aroma. Big berry flavor, with a boozy hard to decipher backbone. The fruit dominates, with the blueberries really giving depth to the raspberries and vice versa. Not much balance, some zest up front but fades into fruity sweetness. The nice broad range of berry flavors make this one, a pretty cool beer.

tap at Sea Biscuit Cafe on Mackinac Island - Pours a hazy red cherry color with a small lingering head. It has a rich dark fruit aroma that especially put me in mind of cherries and raspberries. The flavor is sweet, very sweet, with some slight tartness and a tinge of hops bitterness toward the end. It’s easy drinking, medium bodied, and pleasantly warming, one of the better fruit beers I’ve had.
