No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Golden Blend can be aged for several decades. Traditional lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised.

Bottle shared. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste moderately and balanced sour / tart, hay, barnyard, funk. Good balance and very smooth and soft. Really good. 7-7,5-10-10-8,5

golden, small white head that soon disappears
super nice rounded and smooth lambic aroma, not that tart or sour, almost more like oranges than citrus fruits, and then a lot of wood and a bit of wild grain fields in the nature.
flavor has a lot of leather and wood, almost too much, and a mild sour base. flavor is also very rounded and smooth, the end is dry and woody, and goes more sour. I think it is much more sour than i immediatly could taste - the wood and leather covers up the sourness.

Well stored bottle from my cellar. Quite clear golden body with a small white head, lively carbonation like champagne bubbles. Aroma is super smooth and soft with funk, mild wood, light acidity, fruit and ripe apple. Flavor is also extremely smooth and easy drinkable with soft Brett, ripe fruit, wood, smooth and mild acidity. Perfect balance both in flavor and body, long lasting aftertaste. One of the best Geuzes I have tasted.

Bottle from my secret Santa!
Hazy dark orange pour, with a big, rocky, white head. The aroma is simply sublime. Lots of citrus, musty hay, thick funky horse blanket, and some woody, earthy stale hops, and woody barrel. I can’t get my nose out of it. The mouthfeel is perfect, and the carb is soft, but still solid. The finish is Incredible. Loads of thick woody funk. Lots of hay, barnyard flavours, woody hops, subtle citrus, and a citrus pith bitterness and solid throat lingering sourness. Jesus this is just about perfect. I don’t want this to end. Holy hell this was awesome!
Hapu, funky, puuviljane, tsitrus, nata mineraalne, veits happeline. Hea.

(750ml bottle from an SB web order, had this bottle for a long time!) Pours clear pale amber with a tiny white head and no lace. Aroma is pretty deep, funky, with sweetened lemon, green apple, soft stone fruit and caramel sweetness, lots of oak, nuttiness, lactic cheesiness is quite soft, a little dried grass/hay herbal component. Flavour is more acidic than the nose suggests but prominently lactic, very heavy on fresh lemon and a touch of grapefruit, touch of green apple, bare hint of malt sweetness, moderate wood, green walnut, slightly herbal/peppery, finish is slightly drying but still lactic, lemon, wood, lighty bitter herbal quality. Fairly light-bodied, soft carbonation. Solid lambic, but honestly it felt on the young side in both a component age and bottle age sense. It was so bright and lactic, while I was expecting more woody, malty and richer fruity qualiy on the palate.
