Hoppy Blonde Ale
Take the leap and hop into the tropics with Hoppy Blonde Ale. This easy-drinking beer sips light and refreshing with a soft malt base, while vibrant notes of mango, lemon, blueberry and pine spring across the tongue courtesy of Mosaic, UK Admiral and Centennial dry-hopping. Light enough to session, but with a head rush of hops, Hoppy Blonde will leave you jumping for more.

Bottle. Clear gold with a one to two finger heads. Taste and aroma is very similar to a pale ale with it’s taste and aroma leaning much more to hops than malt.

355ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that laces nicely. Sweet biscuit malt aroma with floral notes, tropical fruit, citrus and pine. Sweet fruity flavour of orange, mango, biscuit malt, lemon and pine with a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. A pleasant surprise. Nicely done for such a boring style.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy blond color. Nice hoppy aroma, lean, soft mouthfeel, mild fruity hops, more evident in aroma than flavor, the final is too simple. Dry.
Pleasant Pale Ale.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral and piney hops upfront, followed by dry biscuity malt. Flavour is nicely hoppy upfront, with floral and piney hops upfront, with a dry biscuity malt backbone. Refreshing and nicely balanced. Good stuff.

12 ounce bottle 3/6/16. Clear golden, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of piney, earthy hops and pale malt. The taste is herbal, piney hops, dry orange, pale malt, some breadiness and mild apples. Medium bodied, crisp, low carbonation, mild lingering bitterness.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a lot of bubbles rising from the bottom and the sides. Aroma of light grassy malt with some subdued sweetness and a good deal of herbal and grassy hop notes as well. Light-bodied; Strong grass notes at first with a fresh hop flavour showing some lemons and then a lot more pale malt. Aftertaste is relatively uniform with some grass and hay coupled with a light herbal element as well. Overall, a decent beer with some good flavours, but a bit too light and unassuming to show more complexity or depth. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 05-March-2016 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Washington on 14-June-2016.
