On tap at Laurelwood, Portland. Copper with lasting off white head. Attractive sherbert hop aroma. OK, so it’s an IPA, a proper PNW one, so you have boat loads of sherberty hop, especially on end. Still slightly nettley. Has moderate malt to supoort it, but hop is extreme. But it is lovely. I had another pint a couple of nights later and still enjoyed it.

Copper colour. Bright. Lightly woody hop aroma. The flavour is of chewy hop bitterness with wood and caramel accents.

2004 draught. Copper with some dark orange tinges, lightly hazy and little to no head. Aroma of fresh fruity hops (berries, bitter juice and some lime and mango) Interestingly unique aroma. Some tasty crystal malt starts it off, with a good dose of hops and even some alcohol notes. MMM fuggles! Well, it’s got a touch of astringency, but the crystal malt holds up pretty well. More floral and spicy notes with some soily fruity notes on the end. I really like this one a lot (though I dont like crystal malt orfuggles). It had a good medium body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps the alcohol could be toned down and there is a lot of honey sweetness in the middle.
