473 ml can. Pours a dark mahogany with light bubbly head. Aromas of sweet raisins, watery caramel, grass, copper, and toasted malts. Flavors of powdery caramel, raisins, copper and toasted malts. It’s a Scotch Ale.

Caramel and a little rust. Something like heather. Dark maroon pour with good head retention. Light sweet finish. Tap.

Murky brown body and mimimal foam. Soft caramel aroma, slight molasses, all too faint. Taste is all chewy caramel, vague toffee, soft tart molasses. Ends full but it just seems jumbled, halfhearted at best.

Dark amber-brown with a thin head. It’s ok...has some of the toffeeish notes you want, but it’s thin...not enough residual sugar, not enough malt complexity and not enough bitterness to balance. Take away all the best elements of the style and you’re left with ok.

Bomber from Revelstoke. Mahogany color, malt aroma. Full bodied with caramel and toffee in the taste. Grainy finish. Decent but not an outstanding scotch ale.

Bottle from Waldorf Liquor Store, Vancouver
Mahogany color. Aroma of cereals, like some German Bocks, good body strength, caramel character, mild residual sweetness.
Easy but not bad.
