12oz can pours a translucent orange with some thin, lacing white head. Aroma is incredibly fruity and attractive, lychee, passion fruit, honey, malt, deeply floral, star fruit. Flavor gets back more towards the traditional pale ale, there’s still plenty of fruit, Bosch pear, lychee, some citrus, passion fruit, orange, honey, malt, slightly metallic. Medium bodied, sweet finish but not at all cloying. Very unique and highly enjoyable.

Very hazy ruby and peach tinted copper coloured body with a nice, creamy one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pale malt, nice light hops, some bubble gum notes and a hint of yeast. Medium-bodied; Assertive earthy and caramel flavoured malt with some lighter but noticeable citrus and grapefruity hops and a pungent sweet and full-bodied finish. Aftertaste is relatively mild with only a bit of the malt and hops coming out, but not bitter or assertive in any way at all. Overall, a nice and relatively surprising beer - nice and flavourful without being too complex and long-lasting. Good to sample, albeit the high price. I sampled this 350 mL can (Hawaii/Japanese style, obviously) purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 09-June-2012 for US$4.00 sampled at home in Washington on 18-February-2013.
