Bottle at Gainsbar. Dark brown/black with creamy gold head, aroma is booze, wood, roasty malt, choc. Taste lovely, roasty, choc, bit of smoke, booze again, mellow, lovely roast, very smooth, bit of sweetness, vanilla. Very drinkable. Rerate Aug 16. Rich, dark roasty, coffee. Surprisingly easy drinking, everything you'd expect, touch of port. Fruity. Good stuff. Plums, figs.

From tap @ BBF 2011. On day one, and the end of day 2, which doesn’t help to rate this beer properly. Served ice cold, especially on day 2. Malt, apple syrup and a hint of salt in the aroma. Firm roasted malt flavor with salt licorice and dried apples. Very low on carbon.

Bottle, vintage 2012 at kulminator. Pours black with brownish head. Aroma is chocolste, roast, mslt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, roast, sugar, malt, some fruits. Finish is sweet chocolate. Overall: great, age has done good things to this. No obvious port notes tho (and that’s actually good thing.)

330ml bottle bought in Brussels in 2013. VIntage 2011. Pours an almost black with a huge dark beige head. Aroma is chocolate, cherries, port barrel, some iron notes. Taste is sweet, chocolate, roasted malt some cherry and iron notes. Same aftertaste. This beer would be much better without iron in it, but it still good, though.
