Aroma of dark roasted malts, chocolate, tart fruits, some coffee, some smoke. Flavour is roasty and a bit tart, with a roasty bitter finish. Great, what’s not to like about this tart Porter?

Bottle at Winterbierfestival, Gouda: Almost black coloured brew with taste of roasted malts, vanilla and caramel and a good sweetbitter finish.

Deep roasted beginning. Chocolate, grain and dry bitterness. Fruity in the middle, chocolate, hints of grain. Mild roast, dark chocolate and molasses there. Bitter dry chocolate in the aftertaste. Interesting but very nice with a warming end. BitterSweet.

Thuis uit een flesje. Zwarte kleur, bruin schuim. Mooi. Aroma van geroosterd brood en wat espresso. Zachte smaak voor het percentage. Licht caramel, koffie. Lekker.

Flesje gedeeld met Tomhendriksen. Diep donkerbruin, iets stroperig bier met mooie beige schuimkraag. Aroma van hout, rook en koffie. Smaak en nasmaak is houtig en rokerig.

Fles gedeelt door Inoven, het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een volle beige schuim. De geur is rokerig en dropachtig, de smaak is rokerig, drop en salmiak achtig. Het heeft een wat stroperig mondgevoel.

Zwart bier met heel veel stevig lichtbruin schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en krachtig met bittere chocolade, koffie, wat rook en ietwat vanille. Is verder licht romig van textuur. Geweldig goed bier.
