Tasting at SF’s
Hazy golden color. Very nice aroma of piney and tropical fruit hops, a bit dank. Off-dry, lean, very dank and piney, with mild crisp base, some hay.
Excellent modern IIPA.

650ml bottle at Brian’s office. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is a little bit dirty, piney. Same taste. Very bitter. Not bad.

650mL bottle, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is very hop oily, with plenty of perfume, resinous hop oils, and some phenols. Flavour is loaded with perfume, hop oils, and alcohol - very oily, perfumey and harsh. Cloying and alcoholic. Not too impressed.

Hazy, amber. has a stewed fruit hop nose...usually that’s a touch of diacetyl. Bitter, with a bit of heavy pale malts. The hops aren’t bad, maybe a bit stewed and over fruity. There are brighter and tastier El Segundo pales.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a clear orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was pleasant resin notes. Slightly sweet and boozy notes in this one. Balanced malt and hop notes. Tasty.

Clear gold beer, good cream colour head. Palate is smooth and light, decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, light creamy sweetness. A little aniseedy bitterness and alcohol. Smooth pine, Mild resin. Spicy orange and orange peel, lesser tangerine. Light semi dry finish. Smooth and well joined up and drinkable.

Pretty good DIPS. Leans on the resin side. Some sort of kinda off taste in the finish, but pretty good overall.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Pine/citrus aroma. Med + body. Flavor is pine/citrus in a burning way, but some light toasty malt seems in support. It’s seemingly not quite dry, with citrus and sweet, but it’s incredibly hoppy and nicely bitter. Lots of aroma and flavor with this one. It is kind of old school, but in a souped up way.
