On tap. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has light pine and grass with a bit of earthy grain supporting. Flavor has earthy pine and bread with a touch of grass backing.

[12oz bottle from Albertsons, Fullerton, CA.] A pale amber pour with a thin white head; grapefruit aroma; sweet citrusy taste; and a fruity pithy finish. A rather refreshing IPA.

Draft @ SFO. Pours a golden orange color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty piney grapefruit hoppy aroma. Fruity malty piney grapefruit hoppy bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty piney grapefruit hoppy bitter finish.

12oz bottle in Long Beach. Not sure how a beer with Nelson, citra, simcoe can remain mediocre, but this one does it. Sort of oily hop tone meets a sweet caramel touched malt bill. Earthy. OK.

Bottle on board the Carnival Splendor. Pours ... Aroma is sweet, caramel, hop. Fairly sweet, moderate bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger.

So much better than The Pilsner (from this brewery) I had before this on 27th May 2016 in the Californian sun while on holiday. Good light amber pour with a decent lasting head. Hoppy, oily smooth with a caramel maltiness for a base to help counter the hop bitterness. Very drinkable and ’moreish’.

Pours hazy deep golden, medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, some pine, hints of mango. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter. Medium body. A bit old school, but solid.
