On tap at the brewery. Aroma is malt forward with caramel, nuts and lighter chocolate notes. Some toasted bread and toffee. Medium light dark fruit notes with raisin, plum and prune. Pours a murky brown, with a small, thick, tan head that recedes slowly to a thin film that lingers thicker on the edges. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly tart with some light sweetness. Nuts, caramel and toasted bread with lighter toffee and chocolate. Some light dark fruit notes and a bit of a phenolic note. Low bitterness. Hints of roast. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer with a nice malt profile, but there isn’t much yeast character.

Draft - Soured dark malts and muddy notes. Jet brown with a light brown head. Dark soured and bitter malts. Muddy tastes and a sweetish finish. OK.
