341ml bottle. Pours a clear red-brown with a medium, creamy, short lived, light brown head that laces. Mild sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, cocoa, nuts, ash, peat and light coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, bread, caramel, coffee, nuts, ash, earth and peat in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Enjoyable, easy to drink.

Pours a dark copper-brown colour with full ruby highlights. The head is frothy, bubbly, decent lasting with some nice creamy lace. Aromas of roasted malts and molasses. Hints of rustiness eventually come out. Roasted malt taste with some nice nuttiness. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Nothing too special, but an easy-drinking Schwarzbier.

Bottle. Medium brown. No head. Aroma is toasty, a bit nutty. Light body, and a bit toasty. Too light, though I will say there are supermarket schwarzbiers in Germany like this..

Toast and smoky notes. Deep brown with a rich beige head. Very light taost and thin caramel flavours. Taste is very boring considering the nose.

Decent head and jet black body.soft barley aroma. Roasted barley flavour with coffee hints. Weaker on the mouth. Adequate but not exciting.

On tap. Pours dark brown with light white head. Very light aromas of toasted malt. Smooth and easily drinkable but not much flavor other than a bit of malt.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear black color ale with a large light brown color head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt with nice caramel touch. Taste is also a good mix between light bitter roasted malt with some good notes of caramel. Body is a bit thin with good carbonation. Not the most complex beer out there but interesting nonetheless.

Draught at Big Ridge, Surrey, BC
Black color; persistent creamy head. Light aroma of ashes. Weak body, with some roasted malt (acceptable), but also a too high ash and dust feeling (disturbing). The final is sharp and metallic. Not a bad beer, but a bad execution.

Pours a nice black with an off-white head. Flavour is roasted malt, but quite generic other than that. Goes down smooth. More drinkable than most macros.

Drink it quickly, it loses its carbonation fast. Actually quite flavorful before it warms and loses it’s fizz. Nice brown sugar nose and palate, slightly grainy
