Triple IPA
Like its cataclysmic namesake, Hypernova Triple IPA explodes with juicy tropical fruit flavor. Bursting with notes of guava, passion fruit, and citrus, this 9.3% ABV IPA is of stellar proportions.
Originally made for the Portland International Beerfest (2015).

Some higher alcohol, rubber and fusels in the aroma, but the malt is biscuity, with some toffee, moderately sweet, followed by good hopping which is not very bright though.
2016-02-12, bottle from The Beer Junction
Hazy amber color. Nice aroma of hops, orangey and resiny, maybe less powerful than expected. A bit caramelly and sweet, very powerful, some toffee, and a lot of resiny and orangey hops; the alcohol is well managed.
A bit caramelly and sweet, still an excellent beer.

Bottle - Sweet and piney leaf. Clear copper with a small white head. Piny and pithy. Booze is well hidden and overall nice a bright.

On tap at PIB 2015, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of rich resinous hops and balanced caramel malt. Flavour brings out a truckload of resinous hops, a touch of pine, and a big caramel malt backbone that never cloys. This is one of those impeccably balanced triple IPAs - not too sweet / cloying. Excellent.
