2024 Bottle at a lighter 8.4. Surprised it's unrated. Nose is soy, licorice, tar, roasts. Taste is dark malt, dark fruits, licorice, blackcurrant, touch of ash and soy leading to lots of licorice in a slightly sticky finish. Very good and not cloying as many are.

Bottle shared at Mancave Bunnik. Opaque black color, average sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, roast, sweetish roasty, liquorice. Decently bitter.

Draught Pale, layered yellow-cream head over jet-black beer. Dry roast, bit ashy, black chocolate, faint chewing gum. Liquorice overdose in the taste. Nose suggested dryness, but this is really sweet. Finish is slightly vinous, red wine with liquorice. Short whisky impression. Full bodied, light alcoholwarming, utterly slick and oily. Good carbonation. Wobbles between awfully sweet and decently complex. In the end, quite OK.

Tap, 2020 version. Black color with beige head. Aroma is big chocolate, dash of fudge, motor oil. Taste is the same, sweet, dash of vanilla, chocolate. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice and old school.
