From tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussel. Aroma of tart red fruits, some malt, toffee, vinegar, tart berries, red wine. Flavour is moderate to medium sour and light sweet. Body is medium. Tasty sourish red fruity ale.

Bottle 0,75ltr: Hazy red coloured beer with an gentle sour taste, can taste the red grapes and some well hidden caramel too.

Dark brown, opaque, still short pour @Strangeways Dallas. Cherry tart & savory tomato, crusty pizza malt nose is better than the delivery. Tart, cherry skin, vinegar, chocolate, veg trail, oxidation. Thin, just about flat, good acid & tartness, too old to pound. Barely okay.

Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Amber colour with touch of red. Big, bubbly shiny off white head. Aroma is light raspberry, bit of creaminess, herbal. Taste has similar light fruitiness, bit of funkiness and a touch of sourness. It's nice enough, but it's nowhere near as nice as the Belgian equivalents. Too much booze and too little funk.

Tap @ BBF 2011. Reddish amber color. Dusty oaky aroma with grapes and hints of cherry. Sweetish tart flavor with grapes, oak, raspberry and marzipan. Fairly complex.

Used to drink this a lot on the festival circuit but hard-to-find now. Very happy to see it at Beer Merchants last night. Beer-of-the-evening.
