473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a small, foamy, short lived, tan head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, peanuts, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, lactose, milk chocolate and peanut butter in a dry, mild bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Sort of reminds me of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Fun stuff.

Draft - Roast peanut shell. Jet black with a small head. Roast niutes, some dark malts and a nice finish. Not bad.

Definitely peanut butter and chocolate on the nose, not too strong, but definitely that peanut butter cups smell that isn’t too bad at all. Has a modest head and okay dark copper body. Flavour is all chocolately peanut butter, slightly sweet on the finish but not too bad. Quite nice and drinkable if rather simple.

Dark brown, aroma has a lot of peanut butter, chocolate, which I guess is the idea. Has a decent taste, nutty and only a little overtly peanut buttery. Decent body, which helps carry the chocolate flavours.

650 ml bottle. Pours almost black with light head. Aromas of roasted malts and creamy peanut butter. Flavors of burnt malts, burnt peanuts, bitter dark chocolate powder and bitter coconut. Smells better than it tastes. The later is just a collection of odd bitter flavors with a nasty acidic finish. Not for me.

On tap at St Augustine's, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted coffee beans and a little of the peanut butter. Flavour is fairly rich, bringing out a balance of roasted espresso and peanut butter. Nice incorporation of the peanut butter.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark color, almost black, with small compact brown head. Its a decent stout, although it has a mild sourness that is out of place and some liquorice that is not appreciated; good mouthfeel; it also has some dark chocolate and roasted nuts; traces of yeast too. If I didn’t hear about the peanut butter, I wouldn’t imagine it.
Not a bad beer, a bit chaotic though.
