330ml bottle. Jet black colour with a thin, bubbly, fading, tan layer on top. Sweet-ish, dark malty, slightly fruity, minimally vinous aroma, notes of treacle, cherry, blue and black berry jam, a spicy touch of liquorice and soy sauce. Taste is sweet, dark malty and fruity, notes of dark chocolate, treacle, cherry, black cherry, bramble, blueberry, all as jam and/or syrup, plum butter as well; lingering, sweet fruity finish with a cautious, warming touch of alcohol. Viscous, syrupy texture, smooth and soft palate, soft to flat carbonation. NIce digestif.

Bottle. A flat, dark brown beer with a few dark beige bubble. Roasted, bonfire-ish aroma with acetone, some dark dried fruits and a touch of cherries I wouldn’t recognice if I didn’t read the commercial description. It’s quite dry on the palate, soft and sweetish. Warming. Burnt flavor with some dried fruits and a touch of higher alcohols. Lasting finish. Not very good this one, certainly not my kind of Imperial Stout. 150524

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. Clear, dark, cherry red. No head. Black cherry. Cherry liqueur chocolate. Taste is sweet, cheap, cherry liqueur chocolates. Harsh, boozy palate. Finish is sweet and boozy, and not a lot else.
