Fairly smoky. A bit of doppelbock sweetness. Surprisingly hoppier than usual.

Taster at the brewery shared with Andrey. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is smoky with some mazut notes. Taste is quite sweet with some smoky notes. Very simple beer with quite big body but plain taste. Ok.

Aroma is good smokiness and sweetness, a nice blend going on. Has a soft lighter copper body with vague hints of foam. Flavour is big and smoky, balanced by some honey sweetness. Nothing else shows through though. Good dry finish. This is a nice experiment though only 2 parts shine through.

Poured from the tap. Hazy golden orange with off white head. Aroma of light smoke. Taste of light smoke and honey with a base of manure barley (tastes like a farm). Interesting, decent balance, wouldn’t be able to drink more than one in a sitting though.

The smoke is nice, light fruity note but smoky and rich beech malt notes. not hugely complex but nice.

Draft 10 oz pour at the Alibi Room. Very much looking forward to a tasting this weekend with everyone who has rated this beer. Good group of guys for sure. The beer pours a cloudy golden copper with a thin foam head. Soft smokey start, but grows throughout the palate. Lingering peat malt finish. Barely getting any honey sweetness, but that’s not a big deal for me. The beer holds its own as it is. High carb, but a smooth finishing beer. A well done smoked ale for sure.

Clean amber colour. Mild aroma of bready and toasty malts. Mildly sweet, smooth, the smoke is evident, honey bread character, decent malt backbone, not as rich as one would expect from a Doppelbock though.
Pleasant hybrid.

Hazy amber color, small head. Delicate but very nice smoke aroma. The light honey flavor is a good complement for the mellow malts, with a light biscuity touch; mild smoke presence, and low bitterness.
Very nice.

Draft - Nic smoke and light manure. Clear gold with a decent whit head. Sweet, smoky and a touch of earthy manure. Light and flavourful.

Growler, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out smoked ashy notes, not much else. Flavour brings out a good mix of honey and smoke. Nothing offensive or anything - actually decent. Okay.
