A forward-looking take on the classic West Coast IPA.

Bright and crisp this beauty is loaded with Mosaic hops. Colourful notes of tropical fruit, pine sap and a medium body of slightly sweet malt.

2017-01-05. Small can from Denman (thx, Farees!). Batch #1, canned 2016-12-12. Aroma is tropical and stone fruits, slightly earthy and flowery. Same taste. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Good, but I liked Colour & Shape more. Looking forward to the next Superflux beer.

2017-02-09. Small can from The Gull. Batch #2, canned 2017-01-18, "Dank" on the bottom. Dirty murky golden with a white. Aroma is the same as in b1. Taste it similar, but slightly dirty. Hm...

Draught @ Darby’s Gastown. Hazy, light tan. Thin head. Big juicy hop nose. Fresh orange juice hops, nice clean malts...very nice IPA. And I upgraded the rating because honestly, the more I drink the more I want to drink. It is probably the class of IPAs in BC right now.

The aroma is fruity and piney. Dry and strong mouthfeel, the hops are piney and orangey, moderate bitterness. Very good beer, the hopping is slightly harsh.

Side to side with Rainbow Machine. It's just hazy, it's juicy, golden berries, plums, quite dry, with a zesty final and mild astringency. Good, but it tastes as if on the declining slope.

2017-04-14, Strathcona version, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 8-4-8-5-17=42
Hazy golden color. The aroma is quite dank, manure, light orange. Lean body, quite dry, crackery malts, followed by resiny and piney hopping, with very strong bitterness.
Excellent.

2016-12-20, Dogwood version, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 8-4-9-5-18=44
Hazy golden color with creamy head. Citrusy hops dominate the aroma, with mild musk. The mouthfeel is very lean, off-dry, the pale malt background is crackery and inviting, the hopping is aggressive, resiny, piney, citrusy, resiny again.
Hop glory, right there.

2015-07-10, draught at Callister, as Double Happyness, 7-4-7-4-13=35
Hazy light golden color with small head. Lightly sweet, lean body, dank and animal, a lot; the malt profile is less than impressive; good hop juice beer, but messy, could be improved.

Draft - Nice grapefruit and pithy notes. Cloudy light gold with a decent white head. Lots of grapefruit and pithy bitterness. Solid.

On tap at Callister Brewing, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out the classic cat piss citra hops upfront, with a touch of tropical fruit in back. Flavour is similar, though kind of muffled, with fruity hops and a crackery malt finish. Very smooth and drinkable, but lacking a bit in character. Good stuff.
