Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, and a bit of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of citrus and chestnuts, leading to a biter finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a pale amber with a slight haze and a white head. Aroma has sweet and perfumy fruit - but also smoke! infection? Medium body, sweet and fruity with distinct Bamberg-style smoke. Some bitterness in the finish. 100810

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, chestnut, fruity, rubber - smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, rubber notes, chestnut notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO chestnut and beers is no go ! [20100605]

Small, but persistent amberish head over dark yellow beer with a greenish shine. Malty, "beery" nose, discreet and slightly herbal aroma. Beautiful, fake "madeirised" flavour (the effect of the chestnuts, as first shown by the Pietra). Nutty, lighty vanilla - good! Creamy mouthfeel, yet refreshing enough. Very good beer, that I liked instantly. More of this, my friend!
