We brew this trippel with a Trappist yeast strain to hold true to the traditional style. The flavors are incredibly complex with notes of mild fruit that finish with just a bit of clove. Although this beer has a slightly higher ABV, you will find it finishes very smooth and dry on the palette. This makes for a perfect summer sipper.

Bottle, 4 years past the BBD. Pours clear tea amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of lozenges, malt, caramel and yeast. Sweetish flavour of malt and caramel, with fruity and dusty notes and estery touches. Dusty and estery aftertaste with mild acetic hints. Potent foar the style. Decent.

Bottled 355ml (old bottle from Beergium)
Hazy orange-brown color, small off-white head. Riped fruits, Belgian yeast in the nose. Slightly oxidized. Medium-bodied. Flavor has overriped fruits (banana, peach), light alcohol and some oxidized notes. A bit of bubblegummy. Not in top condition.

Bottle. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Oily looking texture. Nose - some dried orange and lemon notes but dominated by honey. Taste - loads more honey with some well hidden fruit notes. Palate - medium bodied with a sweet middle section that continues through the finish. Overall - too sweet. It lacks the kind of tang you get in Karmeliet or Westmalle.

Bottle (from beergium). Pours golden with whiteish head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, fresh fruits, apples, candy. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fresh fruits, candy, malt. Finish is mild dry bitter with some alcohol and lingering sweetness. Drinkability is very good, despite the abv. Overall: very good, not that complex, but well made and sweet + boozy (just as I like it). --- Beer merged from original tick of Sapient Trip Ale on 27 Dec 2017 at 11:23. Tap @ Beer Temple, shared with Caesar, Benzai & Mr. Hangover. Golden color. White head. Aromaβs: sweet fruit, with caramel, malts retronasal (more triple-like). Flavor is light sweet, malty, light bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes moderate bitter. Decent triple, certainly by American standards.

Draught @ Beer Temple. Clear orange golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, yeast, lightly bitter, the slightest hint of herbs or spices. Average body and carbonation. Meh.
