Tap @ Borefts 2012. Malty, slightly spicy aroma. Malty sweet, honeyish soft spicy flavor with licorice. Tap @ Borefts 2013. Amber color. Herbal aroma with cassis. Sweet cassis flavor with herbal notes. Anis. Well hopped, but the cassis sweets dominate.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of spruce with light cereal notes is quite pleasant. Taste is also a nice mix of spruce notes with some cereal notes and a dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Easy to drink with nice spruce notes that don’t overwhelm.

Bottle in trade with Thomas, cheers! 7.0% abv. Pours a murky mid brown with a medium sized bubbly off-white head. Aroma of spruce, pine, malt, chocolate, with floral notes, lavender and herb. Quite high herbal sweetness, very light bitterness. Medium body, milky texture, soft carbonation. A rather curious brew.

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Ambrata, limpida, schiuma bianco sporco medio-leggera, non molto persistente. Al naso sentori di malto, frutta rossa, aghi di pino. In bocca è dolce, maltata, un po’ sbilanciata. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Originale e ben fatta, alla lunga stucca un po’.

Sample at Borefts 2016. Poured a crystal clear dark amber. The aroma is red berry fruit light yeast, light hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth yeasty red berry fruit light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Rather nice!
