Keg at Marble Arch Inn. It pours cloudy golden yellow, with a medium white head. The nose is earl grey tea, sweet orange, tangerine, apricot and grape juice. The taste is tea leaf, bergamot, bitter citrus, earthy aspect, sweet orange, apricot, hay and candy with a bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting, flavoursome and well balanced.

Sampled @ Borefts 12. Hazy, cloudy yellow to orange color with a couple of tiny particles floating in it. Small to average sized, fair lacing, mostly diminishing white head. Aroma is moderately malty, moderately hoppy, orangepeel and mandarin. Taste slightly malts, light to moderately bitter, oranges, fruitpeel and hops. Medium body, medium a bit fizzy carbonation.

Bottle sampled @ Borefts 2012. Clear golden with a white head. If you know that there is earl grey in there you can pick it up but otherwise not really - smell is lightly sweet herbs and caramel, light fruits, if I know it is there also getting light bergamot and tea. Lightly bitter hops, caramel, candy, yeast, herbal, lightly bitter and albeit as per before can soft of pick up bergamot and tea. Medium bodied - would have enjoyed more if I didn’t expect more Earl Grey.

Re-rate, Cask: Aroma is floral, fruity, hoppy. Texture is quite thick. Nice mix of bitter and sweet. Tropical fruits, pine, resin. ______________Original Rate, Keg, Oct2012: Hazy dark blond colour. Aroma has light smoke, tea and fruit. Quite a thick sticky beer. Flavour is sweet and fruity with a drying finish 837314 = 3.5.

75 cl bottle at Borefts. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and crisp hoppy. Bitter, grapefruity, citrusy and vague teaish. Dry and yet crisp fruity into the finish, smooth.

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours clearish amber with a frothy, white head. It’s a very sweet beer with a fairly generous herbal tea/hop character. Light caramel pervades. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat syrupy. Definitely some bitter tea qualities in here, so in that regard, mission accomplished, I suppose. Still, the beer is a bit too sugary sweet.

(Cask at Catford Bridge Tavern, London) Pours amber/gold with a good white head with good lacing. A very pleasant citrus taste and with a lovely "Earl Grey" fresh finish on the palate. Very unique not tasted anything like this before and seriously impressive.

Little cloudy dark blond beer, lots of very small sediment floating around under a big irregular aery head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, canned peaches, some exotic fruits, mango. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity, peaches, some sweet mango, piny hops. Aftertaste: white grapes, some grapefruit, soft bitterness, lemon, something cake/biscuit/shortbread like. Some of our sampling group tasted bergamot, but I didn't.

Cask @ In De Wildeman. Golden color, slightly hazy. Aroma’s of tropical fruit (sweet & sour), citrus, retronasal some malty sweetness, hopbitter, some tea/bergamot (combining very well with the hops). Flavor is medium sweet & medium bitter. Body is medium. Finishes more and more bitter, herbal, somewhat dry. Very nice.
