This is a beer to savor, and sip slowly. Triple Bock has a brandy-like warmth and a complex melange of fruity, woody, and toffee-like flavors. Let the aroma fill your mouth and nose with rich malt and fruit overtones. Savor and appreciate its enormous character.
Serve Triple Bock as you would a fine sherry, at room temperature, in a small snifter. One bottle generously serves two or three. Recork and store standing up. Once poured into a small glass, the layers of aroma and flavor will continue to evolve as the deep ruby brew warms in the hand. There have been only three vintages produced: 1994, 1995 and 1997.

Malm July tasting - proper piece of history here, dark sweet malty with deep sweet molasses and dried fruit, some soy sauce, full bodied, sweet port and sherry infused warming spiced lingering finish, surprisingly still in great condition for the age.

bottle from 1997.
wow, this is an odd one. FIrst off, the pour one of the blackest i’ve seen. It’s coating my glass like oil. Aroma is ridiculously malty, with some chocolate, and burnt soy sauce, and salmon, but the alcohol is actually well hidden. Flavour is burnt chocolate, and burnt soy sauce, but its somewhat enjoyable. Its quite sweet, but mixed with a huge burnt flavour. Its odd, but enjoyable, but in the end i couldn’t finish the bottle. Very interestiing.

Bottle (1997) thanks to my buddy Keith: Poured a burn molasses black brown with a white head. Aroma is boozy, molasses, sticky, chew, light vinous.

1997 bottle opened in 2022. The cork broke. Sieved into a small glas. Black oil with no head or carbonation. Aroma has mushroom, alcohol, boiled vegetables. Tastes like a bitter apple syrup. Mushrooms too. Hidden acidic element behind the syrup.

OMT Advent Day 16 - Old turd you've been looking for an excuse to get out of the cellar (…but it may be awesome).

Opague. Aroma has sugar, cacao, pure chocolate, soy suace and maggi (taste enhancer the Dutch use for soup). Hangs on to yout glass like balsamic venegar. Fluid pure chocolate with soy sauce and maggi. Nearly undrinkable.

29.03.2019, 0,25l bottle (1997 vintage) @ Man in the Moon:
No head. Aroma is slightly sweet and dry boozy, cocoa, dried dark fruits, oak, dark sugar, burnt caramel, toast, raisins, soil, fruit stones, bark, mocha, coffee liquor, booze, toffee. Taste is sweet sour-ish fruity, raisins, fruit stones, citrus, dried sour dark fruits, oak, cocoa, grass, bark, burnt caramel, coffee liquor, old rope, soil, butterscotch, mocha, toffee, dark sugar, hints of licorice. Medium bitterness, sweet sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Just lovely, and even a little bit better than 4 years ago. Wish they had continued making this...

No head. Aroma is slightly sweet boozy, with lots of notes from a good madeira wine, dark sugar, toffee, raisins, oak, booze, thinner, burnt caramel, dark candi sugar, chocolate, bark. Taste is very concentrated, burnt candi sugar, raisins, oak, bark, cocoa, booze, toffee, burnt caramel, citrus, dark sugar, raw licorice, grass, hints of thinner. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry and syrupy mouthfeel. Wow, what a lovely treat! Too bad they stopped making this one, even though I doubt it was even drinkable when it was fresh brewed...
