Draft - Toasted malts and some chocolate. Deep brown with a rich beige head. Cocoa, dark malts and light toast. Nice.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown color with creamy head. Mild aroma, some roasted malts, a bit dusty and yeasty. Smooth mouthfeel, on the dry side; the roasted malt flavor is quite nice, although it has a very light ashy trace; correct bitterness.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy reddish brown with a small white head. Aroma of toasted nuts and tropical fruits, with a bit of acidity. Flavour is quite nutty, with sour fruits and a somewhat sharp acidity. The acidity ruins it.

Preliminary rating (Skookum taproom, 1st batch): Hazy chestnut colour. The aroma is quite toasty. Fresh, husky, biscuity, toasty flavour but a bit thin at the end. Brewer told me he wanted more sugars in the back to round out the body and that’s a good idea. Will revisit in the summer.
